El Refugio is a local tour company with its main headquarters located in the town of Sardinal, near El Coco, Ocotal and Pagagayo. We have a full service office and operation center. Our main basis includes two pools for those interested in our scuba diving courses or those interested in having a refresh course. The company serves clients from hotels from Liberia and the entire coast from Four Seasons to Flamingo Beach Resort and everything in between, including all the hotels in Papagayo, Playa Hermosa, Panama, El Coco, Ocotal, Potrero, Flamingo and Sugar Beach. We also serve clients staying at Riu Hotels.We are different from other companies in that our main goal is to really provide a more private experience. Our main focus is the natural experience. We provide and operate tours no other company operates, including scuba diving Murcielago Islands with onboard living ( 2 days and 1 night ); private tours to explore Santa Rosa National Park and Bahia Santa Elena, or private charter trips in and around the beautiful Papagayo Gulf.

Our actions are based on sustainable practices and social responsibility. We work in Bahía Culebra and the Gulf of Papagayo, including Playa Potrero, Flamingo, Sugar Beach, Playa Prieta, Penca, Ocotal, El Coco, Playa Hermosa, Panama and other regions. We operate from Playas del Coco focusing on private and tailored tours, always seeking the maximum satisfaction of the client when designing tours to each personal taste and giving a variety of options to choose from to create the best experience. Our offer includes snorkeling, diving, catamaran, fishing, sunset, surf, diving courses and BBQ on the best beaches. We promise to meet the highest expectations. We have 4 boats for the enjoyment of the various activities that we offer. The Pura Vida catamaran offers the possibility of group and private tours, diving, snorkeling, private dinners and overnights in the Murciélago Islands. Our newest acquisition, the catamaran Destination Unknown, is a true jewel, and our two speedboats, La Lentitud and Valentina Gra, are suitable for those who require maximum use of time. Sport fishing, surfing, diving and other activities are worked with these two boats.
